Transport Coordinator Galway


Leading, premium logistics provider serving national and international markets within the food industry is seeking a transport coordinator for their Galway branch. The selected candidate will report directly to both the transport manager and the managing director and will work with a team of 7 transport planners. Key Responsibilities: Inputting all customer jobs on a daily basis into logistics software package “Stratum”. This involves creating the job from an existing template and ensuring that all relevant details (collection time/delivery time/quantity/temperature/agreed rate) are entered correctly for all customers. Updating all job templates to include relevant & recent information. Creating load manifests on a daily basis for all collection and delivery loads and ensuring that all required information (driver/truck/trailer) is correctly recorded on each manifest. Allocating jobs to each manifest to ensure that all jobs are complete as per customer specifications. Communicate with drivers, by text & phone, advising them of daily work plan, ensuring that all drivers are fully aware of their daily work plan. Liaise with customers on a daily basis to collate all required information to ensure we have orders confirmed on time, advising customers of deadline for orders to be received to guarantee next day delivery. Manage all other ad hoc queries from customers with the support of the transport planning team. Complete weekly KPI’s for agreed customers for discussion by management. Ensuring that all completed manifests are collected from all drivers, signed and filed. Ensuring that all POD’s from the Galway depot are sent to Dublin for scanning to logistics package. Terms: Full time, permanent. Working hours Monday to Friday from1pm to 9pm or preferably 2pm to 10pm. Package: €Neg.
