This four star hotel in Co. Galway with good repeat clientele is currently looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to maximise sales opportunities through effective management of existing clientele as well as creation of new business opportunities. A popular wedding and events destination, the hotel and staff pride themselves on offering a genuine home from home service to every guest. This is a proactive sales & marketing role focusing on the leisure market, both domestic and international. Key responsibilities will include: Budget planning. Arranging sales activities (trade shows, networking events with local and national businesses/organisations customer meetings, property tours etc. Creating an effective digital strategy incorporating communications and database development. Developing and maintaining knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. The ideal candidate will have a relevant third level qualification (hospitality, sales/marketing, business etc) with a minimum of three years’ experience as a hotel Sales & Marketing Manager. Good knowledge of local businesses/ organisations/ activities and experience with four star wedding destinations a strong advantage. Further candidate attributes and requirements include: Motivated self-starter. Committed hospitality professional with a genuine guest/client-focused approach. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken. Strong systems knowledge. Full drivers licence. Please note that both domestic and international travel is required with this role.
