We are currently representing a global innovator in medical devices who combine technical, innovative and commercial expertise to design best in class products that are distributed worldwide. Their Galway operation acts as their R&D hub, and recently have continued to benefit from ongoing growth and expansion. The Role: Our client in Galway requires a strong Maintenance Technician to join their team, where you will report directly in to the Engineering Manager. You will hit the ground running and become a key member of their Maintenance operations. This opportunity is a permanent position, and will be very much responsible for providing innovative and timely technical support on production equipment, maintaining state of the art automated machinery and ensuring planned & preventative maintenance procedures are carried out to the highest standard on site. Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and fault finding of automatic, semi-automatic and batch manufacturing equipment. Carry out planned/unplanned maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Support key equipment projects at both local and global levels. Ensure that all equipment is repaired to the highest standards. Responsible for filling out plant downtime report for all instances of plant downtime. Report to include time down, corrective action and preventative action going forward. Compliance to all site Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, training and regulations. The Person: As the successful Maintenance Technician, you will possess: Diploma in Automation/Engineering or equivalent. 3-5 years experience in a similar role. Capability of debugging Allen-Bradley PLC`s, Motion and Machine Controls, Vision Systems and Industrial Networks a distinct advantage. Experience in facilities maintenance.
