CHEF DE PARTIE- FANTASTIC CATERING UNIT- GALWAY CITY DAY TIME MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9-5. We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven Chef de Partie to work with a Professional Food Services Company. This is a day time role that operates Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5pm in a fantastic catering unit. Flexibility for Saturdays when required which is occasionally. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their workload and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences. You will be working as part of a team reporting to the sous/head chef. Role Responsibility. To manage a section and give guidance to Commis Chefs, Kitchen Assistants, KP’s. The ability to demonstrate innovative, creative ideas and have a genuine interest in all aspects of the catering business; Passionate and knowledgeable about food and want to learn more. Excellent knowledge of cooking gained to date from previous employments. Ensuring H.A.C.C.P. principles are being executed and that all records and food safety checks are being carried out within the kitchen and related areas; An aptitude and desire to do your best and create a customer focused environment; To have flexibility and interest to cover all sections of the catering operation and deputise for the sous chef in their absence if required. Great personality and hygiene standards as you will be customer facing at all times. The Ideal Candidate. Previous experience of 3-5 years-in a similar food service environment. Third level qualification. (HACCP/Culinary Arts/Professional Cookery. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in Bistro/Brasserie/ World Cuisine. Strong in all sections of the Kitchen and can float into all sections. Flexibility regarding the working week/ overtime. A Foodie at heart always creating new food ideas.
