We are seeking to appoint part-time Oil Jetty and Terminal Operators to discharge Marine Tankers atGalwayPort with an immediate start. The hours of work are not guaranteed and are shipping dependentasships are discharged on arrival. The candidate must therefore be able to work flexible hours as they will be required to work nights, weekends and public holidays. Full training will be provided however we would welcome applicants from a marine background, particularly those with tankerexperience. Responsibilities. Connecting and disconnecting hoses and hard arms to and from marine tankers. Maintaining pumping records of discharges. Radio communication with office and jetty staff during discharges. Strict adherence to all safety standards. Flexibility as to working hours. Flexibility to perform other duties when assigned. Skills and Experience. Flexible, reliable, hardworking with a positive `can-do` attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to use own initiative and work in a fast-paced environment. Accuracy, strong attention to detail. Previous marine and / or petroleum industry experience would be an advantage. Previous radio communication experience would also be an advantage. Be proactive in communications with office and other jetty staff. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Full driving licence.
