Injection Moulding Operative. (Galway. The Role. Sets up and operate injection-moulding machine to cast products from thermoplastic materials. Installs dies on machine, according to work order procedures, using clamps, bolts, and tools. Verify that equipment is operating properly. Sets machine controls, regulating moulding temperature, volume of plastic, moulding pressure according to procedure. Close dies and inject plastic into moulds to produce part. Removes finished product from moulds. Conduct visual inspection of production units for defects based on Standard specification. Execute and Monitor product for any quality issues. Achieve established daily production target. Keep fixture/mould/tooling rack areas clean and organized. Notify Team Lead or Supervisor on all issues interfering with production. Adhere to all Safety Practices. Requirements: A qualification in a relevant engineering discipline such as polymer material, mechanical or similar. 1 – 2 years experience gained within injection moulding/plastics industry. Proven ability to work with injection moulding. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. Professional and mature attitude to work, able to work in a highly flexible team environment.
