Senior Manufacturing Engineers required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. The Engineers will be expected to provide hands on engineering support for Operations, and will report to the Value Stream Operations Manager, will interact with customers and provides support for Engineering and Quality Systems. THE ROLE: * Follows and develops Quality and Regulatory requirements including policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory requirements. * Develops and Executes Process and Test Method Validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ) in accordance with procedures and guidelines. * Communicates ideas, information, and recommendations clearly, effectively and frequently (oral and written) within the company, with outside suppliers or partners and with customers during formal and informal interactions. * Prepares or review documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness using common engineering tools & templates were available. (Examples include specifications, manufacturing procedures, ECOs, and technical reports or analysis. * Applies Lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows. Identifies, and supports the execution of improvement efforts or reduce waste in all manufacturing and business process. * Uses structured problem solving techniques and statistical methods for data driven analysis and decisions. * Applies DMAIC- Six Sigma approaches to solve issues and reduce variation in all manufacturing and business processes. * Plans and executes project activities within a cross functional team. Project types can include new product development and introduction, manufacturing transfers, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives. * Exhibits the company values (Customer focus, Continuous Improvement, Performance, Accountability, Teamwork and Integrity) in all activities. * Demonstrates leadership through mentoring of junior staff and responsiveness to business needs to achieve positive results. * Demonstrates technical ability through the application of engineering skills, approaches and knowledge. * Participate in Internal Quality Audits, following Internal Audit training. * Performs all duties and directs others creating a safe working environment for our employees and our communities. REQUIREMENTS: * Engineering or Science Degree preferred. * 5 years medical device experience desirable. * A good working knowledge of ISO and applicable customer and regulatory standards. * Demonstrated Lean / Six Sigma / Process Excellence experience. Medical Device experience is desired. * Ability to work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is essential. Machining and / or high volume assembly background is an advantage. * Must have good project management skills in successfully executing engineering objectives and projects, ability to lead in a cross matrix work environment. * Proven experience building relationships across diverse engineering/manufacturing groups, site management and senior leadership team. * Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint at a minimum) and ability to use / learn Oracle as the company ERP system (preferably Oracle) and extract reports as directed. * Solidworks and/or AutoCAD also desirable. * Must have strong leadership skills including development of engineering staff, successfully executing engineering objectives and projects, ability to lead in a cross matrix work environment. * Proven experience building relationships across diverse engineering/manufacturing groups, site management and senior leadership team. * Excellent communicator: verbal, written and presentation skills.
