Controls & Automation Engineer. In this key role you will work in conjunction with Manufacturing & R&D, developing automated manufacturing & test equipment which will be used in the development & production of medical devices. You will work both independently & as a member of a team; developing specifications, designs, plans & will involved in the build of manufacturing, test automation equipment & software systems. Responsibilities will be to: Define Controls & deliver software development for new designs & equipment updates. Participate in equipment design reviews, Documentation quality SOPs & following GDP. Manage projects & parts of projects as part of a larger team. Supervise the work & gives direction to other Junior Equipment Automation & Control Engineers. Determine project schedules & work with team & other departments across the plant to ensure adherence. Work closely with the customer to understand requirements & propose creative & cost effective solutions. Generate quotations, concepts & business cases for new & upgraded equipment. Qualifications you will have. An Eng Degree or equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8. (Hons level. A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Technical Skills PLC Programing. HMI/SCADA Design. PID Design & Tuning. Servo Control & Instrumentation. Machine Electrical & Safety Design as per European Machinery Directive & derivate Standards. Project Management Skills. Ideally you will have the following skills also Candidate shall have proven experience in some of the following areas: VB6 & VBA programing. VB.NET & Object Orientated Programing. T-SQL Programing. LabVIEW development. Ideally experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry. Six-Sigma Green Belt or Yellow. GAMP4. Please apply to discuss in detail and confidence.
