Software Project Manager - County Galway. Job Description: In this role you will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating multiple software platforms delivering end-user features. You will also continuously track for areas of improvement, define measures and ensure implementation in your area of responsibility. Core Responsibilities: The Project- • Planning / Organization. • Project Scope (R&D Scope. • Project Risk Assessment (R&D Risk List. • Product Quality. • Project Schedule and Supplier Status (Internal and External Suppliers. • Ability to define appropriate measures for yourself and the team to achieve project goals; prioritization and co-ordination of those measures. • Drive and manage project progress. • Ability to forecast issues / delays - constant updating managing of the Project Plan. • Work effectively in tight deadlines regardless of possible setbacks / roadblocks. Ability to circumvent roadblocks / find solutions. • Work with multiple teams (internal and external) to manage delivery and integration of software components to deliver complex end-user features (software features) to customer expectations and performance levels. All deliveries and performance of the features need to be aligned with the overall project plan/customer delivery plan. • End customer orientation. • Develop strong relationship with customer. • Manage the customer and their timelines ensuring dates / deliveries are respected. • Ability to develop the customer view. Understanding customer plans before formalisation. • Analytical skills / problem solving. • Leadership. • Ability to motivate a team (cross-functional & diverse), have them working together to achieve a common goal. • Ability to delegate. • Lead by example. • Manage budget. • Ability to motivate team in generating improvement activity. • Ability to forecast changes. • Estimation of resource needs and development workload within R&D; ensuring the monthly balancing of resources against needs. • Keep customers/stakeholders updated on project progress. • Manage technical relations with external resources participating in project activity. • Support Product Marketing and Business Development activities as required. • Ensure management of escalations if any. Qualifications and experience sought: • An Engineering Degree in a relevant area e.g. Software. • Minimum 8 years' experience in a Project/Product Management role. • Ability to manage communications/reporting with customers. • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
