JOB TITLE: Geotechnical Engineers. REF NO: J4756. REPORT TO: Technical Director. LOCATION: Galway (or Dublin, Cork, Sligo. JOB TYPE: Permanent. RPS are currently recruiting Geotechnical Engineers to become key members of our Highways & Transportation Team. The successful candidates will be joining a recognised leader in the delivery of consultancy services in Ireland and the UK. Ideally the position will be based in our Galway office. However, there is the possibility to be based in Dublin, Cork or Sligo. Key Requirements. • A Degree in Civil Engineering as a minimum; a masters qualification is advantageous. • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in geotechnical engineering. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Knowledge and experience of the Irish and/or UK markets. Duties and Responsibilities. • Working as part of multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the design, procurement and contract supervision of geotechnical and infrastructural projects. • Possess the ability to lead and motivate themselves, take ownership of issues and seek team participation to achieve best solutions. • Delivering projects in a collaborative Level 2 BIM environment. • Engaging with clients and design teams for project delivery. • Willing to learn and develop. • Occasional short-term travel within Ireland and the UK.
