Purpose of the role:  Support the Moulding Technician. Assist with technical activities in the Moulding process. Support operational activities as required. Responsibilities and Duties:  Operating Injection Moulding Machines.  Set up of moulds as per the operating procedure.  Carry out appropriate inspection procedure as per Operating Manuals.  Record Operating Information as defined in the SPIN manual.  In the absence of the Technician take on additional responsibility.  Participate in Improvement Teams as required.  Ensure the safety of the operating area.  Train others as appropriate in line with the Operating Procedures.  When required to replace Operators to follow their procedures.  Report any issues to the Team Leader.  Drive the forklift.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Ensure compliance to the Health and Safety, Quality Environmental and Energy Management systems. Qualification and Other Skills:  Formal trade skills qualification, ideally in moulding activity. However a skilled qualification in other mechanical trades would also be appropriate.  1 year’s relevant industrial experience.  Equipment, functionality and parameter settings.
