Director of Sales and Marketing required for a luxury property in Galway city. My Client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident and reliable person to be responsible for the Sales and Marketing department in a busy City centre hotel. The candidate must have previous experience in Sales and marketing within the hotel sector (minimum of 3 years. Duties for this role includes: Generate and secure new business for all areas of the hotel (rooms, bar and restaurant, meetings and events, etc.) Assist with organising and promoting any in-house events. Assist with the advertising and promotion of the food and beverage department. Cross selling of sister properties within the group and encouraging staff to do likewise. Maximise revenue through proactive selling techniques and pricing strategy. Implement an effective selling strategy and new ideas and ensure this strategy is followed and understood at all levels of operation. Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets. establish close links with key bookers and build a rapport with repeat guest and corporate guests. Responsible for driving sales through the Sales and marketing plan. use company customer relationship management system to record all sales activity and results. The Ideal Candidate: Third level Sales & Marketing qualification. Outgoing, confident personality. Ability to manage a team. Excellent written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to self-motivate in a fast paced, changing environment. Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Attention to detail.
