BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - GALWAY €NEG. We currently have an exciting opportunity working for a busy hotel as a Business Development Manager .The successful candidate will be responsible for approaching existing accounts as well as focusing heavily on new business particularly in Industry and corporate business. From converting initial enquiries right through to closing a deal, we require a person who is constantly looking for other revenue streams from existing accounts and can demonstrate high levels of new business acquisition and fully explore customers' requests whilst building strong internal networks enabling you to fully capitalize on key opportunities. This role is very much on the road, arranging client meetings face to face with decision makers as well as working with the existing sales team at their head office. Previous HOTEL/HOSPITALITY/TOURISIM SALES at management level is required for this role. Main Duties: " Develop and implement comprehensive sales and business development plans to increase revenue in conjunction with the Director and Sales Team. " Perform market research and analysis to identify/develop new business opportunities. " Develop and implement action plans to penetrate into new markets to ensure that sales are stimulated. " Maintain effective working relationships with existing and potential customers. " Close new business deals by co-ordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations. " Complete target number of quality sales calls and visits per week. " Achieve sales targets. " Database management. " Weekly reporting on sales activity to Director and attendance at sales and forecast meetings. " Assist the Sales & Marketing department with developing and implementing sales & marketing strategy and activity. " Update job knowledge by participating in professional organizations, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks. Ideal Candidate: " Previous experience in a Business Development / Sales Manager role in the hotel/hospitality/tourism industry with an emphasis on corporates, meetings, events business. " Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external customers and resolve issues in an effective and efficient manner. " Ability to successfully manage existing accounts while developing effective growth and business development strategies. " Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize assigned work to meet established deadlines. " Target Driven, Resilient Personality and a Go Getter.
