R&D Camera Module Owner / Product Owner - County Galway. The role: • The Camera Module Owner is responsible for the development of the overall product solution in line with customer needs, project deliverables and technology development roadmap. Key Responsibilities: • Product Architecture/Solution Design. • Responsibility, across R&D, for defining, leading and developing product solutions, based on module requirements. • Is the overall product owner - ensuring the technical design of the product meets the customer need. • Performs technical design analysis of technology and product solutions from concept to implementation level. • Define system specifications for any subsystem components required for product solutions. • Interface with the customer for R&D innovation/solution concepts. • Ensure systems are developed economically and are aligned to the overall product development roadmap. • Technology development. • Research, design and development of product solutions. • Understand the technology trends, to converse with internal and external customers and give guidance, in terms of product roadmap development. • Participate in, contribute to, or lead technical communication with customers and technology partners. • Liaise with technology suppliers to ensure up to date knowledge of leading edge and emerging technology. • Develop proof of concept solutions within a team environment. Project Deliverables: • Responsible for module design activities for the project generating the required work products in conformance to the development methodology. • Participate in Project Teams and report on System Development activities as appropriate. Qualifications and experience sought: • Degree in Engineering or Physics - Electronic, Mechanical, Opto-Mechanical, Software, Computer. Engineering, or equivalent. • Master's or PhD level qualification level preferred. • Established design experience, in full system electronic product development environment. • Camera development experience an advantage. • Team leadership experience an advantage.
