Quality Engineer (electronics) - County Galway. Job Description: •Reply to the customer complaint (PDCA) and respect the customer steps and deadlines. •Responsible for the content and commitments towards the customer (actions, deadlines, validation etc.) •Animate and control the problem resolution PDCA for customer incidents. •Presents PDCA steps ( QR, PD, CA ..) at QRQC meetings. •Prepares and submits LLC for validation. •Ensure that deadlines and actions defined in 8D or PDCA are respected. •Ensure that containment actions are performed. •Travel to customer plant for action plan presentation when necessary. •Be involved in the continuous improvement of procedures, documents, tools. •Manage the action plan for non-conformities found during audits. •Animate the STOP SCRAP activity. •Manage the QRAP System – ensuring proper deployment of system/daily highlighting of issues and concerns to the Team. •Use QRQC tools in order to decrease the TLR (Total Line Rejects) and scrap. •Provides training and coaching of production supervisors/ staff. •Do analysis of the defects (TLR-RPA-CLR. •Ensures compliance with operating procedures and rules at the production lines with the support of the Supervisor. •Participate in the QRQC and do OJT on-line QRQC. •Update the quality tracking charts (SCRAP-CLR-TLR..) •Perform audits on the production lines to detect non-respect of the standard and identify with the Supervisor the action plans to be complied with the standard. •Update the quality documents following a process modification (control plan..) •Represent the customer within the company. Qualifications and Experience Sought: •Bachelors/Engineering Degree in Quality or Electronic/Industrial Engineering essential. • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in automotive or medical electronics in a Quality Engineering role essential. •Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
