What you need to know. You will work as a Programmer / Analyst for our client, a highly successful and ambitious company in the Midlands. The successful person will work closely with the Corporate IS Team to design, develop, test, and implement computer systems. Individual will report to the onsite Financial Controller but take technical direction from corporate IT managemenT. This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: Responsibilities will include analysis, requirements gathering, design of technical specifications, coding, testing and support of new and existing web and database driven applications. The position will require participation in the development and support of several custom applications covering concepts such as: Business Process Management, “What-if” Analysis; Business Intelligence/Analytics and increased business process efficiency. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and the ability to design, deliver and support efficient and scalable technical architectures and designs. Accomplishes software requirements by developing and maintaining applications and databases including complete and thorough documentation. Development of interfaces between client system and Business Process Management (BPM. Create a “What-if” model using various inputs to project future costs based on manufacturing volumes and other variables. Develop SQL Queries and Business Intelligence / Analytics tools to enable the organization to better manage the business through use of KPIs. Identifies requirements by establishing personal rapport with end users and management. Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analysing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. Develops computer applications by programming to specifications or user requirements. Confirms application operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes. Writing and maintaining documentation. Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analysing requirements; developing software systems. What are we looking for? High level of interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret technical documentation to meet business needs. Correctly identifies system / functional interdependencies. Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and within cross functional project teams. Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities. Based on experience, can accurately estimate the cost and time to implement complex enterprise level solutions. Attention to detail. Ability to influence others to achieve results. Ability to motivate and direct a workgroup. Appropriate understanding of computer architecture. Essential: Programming experience (specific skillset if possible: interfaces between ERP systems, other software, and use of APIs would be required. Essential: SQL Queries / Reporting: Crystal Reports; MS SQL Server; Power Query; Essential: Analytics (QlikView, Tableau, Spotfire, MS PowerBI, etc.) development experience (design experience a plus. Desired: ERP Experience (SAP, Oracle, SYSPRO, MS Dynamics, Sage, Infor, Epicor, Great Plains. Desired: Quality System Experience. Desired: Ideally experience with Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as: Bizagi, K2, Appian, Pega, AuraPortal, Tibco, BP Logix, or AgilePoint.
