An Analytical Chemist on a Permanent contract is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. The Analytical Services Laboratory in is a highly skilled, service-oriented GMP Pharmaceutical Laboratory supporting multiple Corporate businesses bringing drug combination and medical device products from development to market release. The focus is on ensuring that the product meets the requirements per the Quality system. The Laboratory personnel are directly involved in raw material and finished product test, support and release. THE ROLE: * You will support the creation of new procedures and processes for the introduction of new components and participate in laboratory investigations for OOS and OOT investigations as necessary. * You will be familiar with raw material testing requirements and the setting up of Reference Standards. * You will liaise with other team members to ensure that the team objectives are met. * Proficient knowledge of analytical separations technologies such as LC and GC are required. * Supporting test method development and validation studies in line with project requirements. * You will communicate any deficiencies in GMP, safety or systems to the relevant personnel. REQUIREMENTS: * We are looking for a qualified person to Level 8 Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related discipline and desirably with 6 years relevant experience. * You are a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. * Participate in root cause investigations and assist in problem solving efforts for quality issues. * The ability to demonstrate self-motivation and pro-actively prioritize your work schedule is desired. * You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
