R&D Software Configuration Management Technical Support. My client is searching for a Software Configuration Management Technical Suppor t to join their large, multinational organisation in Galway . Your role as technical support will see you apply configuration management to all product specific documents, source code and project tools according to management strategy. Your aim is to establish and maintain the integrity of the configuration of the project and make them available to all concerned parties. The initial contact is for 11 months with an attractive starting salary for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a Software Engineering or Computer Science diploma/ degree and have a keen interest in process mapping and documentation. The role will see you working alongside Project team leads and experienced software developers and be actively involved in the release of new technology every week. Responsibilities. Identifying project specific configuration items. Develop and Maintains Configuration Management Plan (CMP. Generate software baseline as specified in the CMP. Providing administrative support to the Change Control Board (CCB) and Daily Commit Review (DCR) process. Reports defects of Configuration management tools to IT System Engineer. Carries out Baseline Reviews. Storage, handling and delivery of configuration items. Support verification of release package items through testing. Generating release packages.
