Technical Writer – Galway. Job Requirements: Primary role is the technical documentation of architectural design for multiple products/projects. Understand the product lifecycle and company process so as to meet documentation quality standards and deadlines. Take ownership of similar documents for multiple projects and optimise the writing technique so as to promote re-use between projects. Become intimately familiar with the technical design of the product so as to understand design discussions, solutions and become autonomous in the role. Collaborate with internal design teams to gather required information for technical documentation. Maintain content for and manage multiple projects simultaneously; learn the products and work as an integral part of the product team. Coordinate document reviews with the appropriate development and test teams. Experience Required: Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Fluent in written and spoken English. 2 years experience of UML or software diagram design tools required. 4+ years experience in technical writing, preferably within the software sector. Experience authoring and managing technical software documentation. Excellent attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with other team members and stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to work within team deadlines.
