Technician Supervisor - County Galway. In this role you will be responsible for managing the maintenance & improvement of the shift Key Process Indicators. ● Focus point for safety-related incidents of an equipment / technical nature. ● Working closely with the Group Leader / Production Supervisors, optimise the effectiveness of the Technician team so that maximum TRP and minimum TLR are achieved for the shift. ● Maintain and promote corporate standards. ● Ensure technical escalations occur within the required time and to the appropriate person. ● Lead continuous improvement through Genba and OJT. Key Responsibilities: Safety – ensure equipment safety features are engaged correctly and that in equipment breakdown situations, the appropriate safety controls are used (LOTO, physical barriers). Should a safety incident occur (that involves Technicians or equipment) ensure the correct procedures are followed and that the information is shared with the relevant people. ● Ensure new starts or contractors are aware, respect and apply the safety standards. ● Ensure each Technician team on the shift has the appropriate personnel, tools, network access and knowledge to allow them to perform effectively. ● Ensure that available Technician resources are applied in the most effective manner. ● Identify and record Technician knowledge gaps as they become apparent and feedback to Technician Trainer and Supervisor. ● Ensure company standards are adhered to: adherence to Work Instructions, Line QRQC, 5S, Changeovers, Spare parts transactions etc. ● Manage communications between supervisor and individual team members on the shift. ● Manage team absenteeism, holidays, safety rules enforcement and Key Performance Indicators. ● Ensure shift changeovers occur and are effective. ● Escalations – ensure both safety and problems affecting scheduled production are escalated as per the escalation procedure. ● Prepare and present a review of the main objectives and KPI in monthly team meetings. ● Prepare and conduct the annual appraisals for the team. ● Lead daily, weekly & monthly action plans to minimize MTTR, maximize MTBF & TRP. ● Lead action plans to improve the Technician and Maintenance department performance, maximizing equipment availability for production. Qualifications and experience sought: •Certificate/Diploma in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering. • At least 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
