The role of Group Financial Controller assumes financial operational responsibility for the business and works closely with the properties offering support and guidance to the hotels and finance teams. The ideal candidate will be a professional, pro-active and confident person, demonstrating strong business and financial acumen, who will nurture and lead a high performing finance team both centrally and in the hotels; delivering timely financial reporting to management; driving profitability and maintaining the financial control of the business. Ideally lead and managed a central finance department for a multi-property hospitality operation. Key responsibilities of a Group Financial Controller: Oversight of the management information system within the entire group. Review of the monthly management accounts produced by each of its properties. Review of reporting systems and computer software in use in the Group. Review of the quality of management information being produced on a monthly basis and a plan to introduce conformity and standardisation within the reports produced. Compilation and submission of quarterly reports including consolidated accounts (Individual and consolidated profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flows reports) on a timely basis to new Group Funder in a format as set out by the Funder. Review and introduction of measures to drive income and cut costs across the entire Group. Liaise with external auditors at audit year end ensuring individual and consolidated accounts files are of a standard suitable for presentation to external auditors. Strategic planning for the Group, its Directors and shareholders. Key attributes we are looking for: Qualified ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Hotel Financial Controller. Experience of running the finance function in a multi-site role. Experience of setting up and managing group wide internal controls and reporting systems. Proven financial and commercial acumen. Strong leadership experience and excellent communicator. A dynamic individual, able to cope with growth, ability to manage different teams. A proactive, organised and independent individual.
