Role: Group Financial Controller. Location: Galway. Contract: Permanent. Sigmar Recruitment has been exclusively appointed to recruit a key-hire for a leading hospitality client in the West. We are keen to speak with candidates interested in the role of Group Financial Controller . The successful candidate will assume financial operational responsibility for the business and work closely with the properties offering support and guidance to the hotels and finance teams. We are seeking a professional, pro-active and confident person, demonstrating strong business and financial acumen, who will nurture and lead a high performing finance team. This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller looking to take the next step in their career. While some experience working in a hospitality environment would be desirable it is not essential. Key responsibilities: Oversight of the management information system within the entire group. Review of the monthly management accounts produced by each of the 5 properties. Review of reporting systems and computer software in use in the Group. Review of the quality of management information being produced on a monthly basis and a plan to introduce conformity and standardisation within the reports produced. Compilation and submission of quarterly reports including consolidated accounts (Individual and consolidated profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flows reports) on a timely basis to new Group Funder in a format as set out by the Funder. Review and introduction of measures to drive income and cut costs across the entire Group. Liaise with external auditors at audit year end ensuring individual and consolidated accounts files are of a standard suitable for presentation to external auditors. Strategic planning for the Group, its Directors and shareholders. Key requirements: Qualified ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Financial Controller (ideally within a hotel but not essential.) Experience of running the finance function in a multi-site role desirable. Experience of setting up and managing group wide internal controls and reporting systems. Proven financial and commercial acumen. Strong leadership experience and excellent communicator. A dynamic individual, able to cope with growth, ability to manage teams remotely.
