My client is a global organisation who develop and manufacturer safety products around the world. They are based in Co. Galway and are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their business on a 4-day working week on a permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to support the leadership of the internal and external activities of the Quality department in driving the product quality and reliability objectives. Duties. Quality System. Maintain the Quality System and all current or future required accreditations. Agree QMS best practices with counterparts and align the system. Create, Review and Amend all QMS revision-controlled procedure documentation. Ensure the Quality Manual & Quality Policies are cascaded through operations. Monitor compliance and drive an effective internal audit system and schedule. Coordinate agency audits and ensure. Lead investigation & corrective action of customer complaints/product concerns (IQOS. Customer Order Inspections. The setup and test of products in order to facilitate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as required by customer contracts prior to shipment of orders. In House Support. Provide support for the manufacturing process as required. Improvement. Provide status updates to customer requests in a timely manner. Collect; monitor and report specified KPI data. Provide status updates in a timely manner. Support all Quality Department personnel when required. Skills, Experience & Education required. 3rd level qualification with 1+ year’s minimum experience within a manufacturing environment and 3+ year’s work experience in a similar quality role. Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment and the ability to work on own initiative. Good communication skills – including written and verbal technical skills. Capacity for multi-tasking and working to fixed deadlines. Competent in working with ERP systems (SAP preferred. Demonstrate confidence in the ability to communicate to clients. Availability to travel with short notice. Salary & Benefits. This is a 4-day working week (1x 9hour shift and 3x 10-hour shifts. Healthcare Package and Pension Scheme after probation period.
