This is an opportunity for a candidate who has the right balance of strong theoretical capability, creativity, and a passion for hands-on applications, to solve tough real-world problems and to see their work in millions, possibly billions of consumer electronics products. We are changing the rules of the ML game, from ground breaking new theoretical approaches to the most power-efficient edge inference engine on the planet. In this role you will: Fulfil a technical role in cutting-edge AI and ML research and development, including novel methods for network design and optimization. Apply ML to real-world imaging problems selecting, optimizing, and deploying neural networks across a wide range of use cases, including advanced imaging. Develop cutting-edge AI and ML technologies for generic and highly specialized, advanced ML accelerators. Establish the training and testing datasets, generate technical documentation and test procedures. Collaborate in the development of machine learning related tools and frameworks for data management, visualization, implementation and performance evaluation. Keep up to date with latest advances in machine/deep learning, both industry and academia. Develop and submit invention disclosures. Demonstrate a structured and detail-oriented approach and follow rigorous scientific and engineering methods. Requirements. A proven track record of conducting disciplined and productive R&D. MSc degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years relevant industry experience. Direct, and productive experience in the development and productization of AI/ML. technologies. Familiarity with state-of-the-art ML, conversant in the latest ML developments, neural network architectures, and training and optimization methods. Solid C/C and Python programming language skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. A strong drive to solve problems and disrupt the status quo. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git and development methodologies such as Agile/Kanban. Highly desirable. PhD in a related field. Proficiency with deep learning development tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Caffe. Advanced knowledge and expertise in image sensing, processing, analytics and display, autonomous driving, Demonstrated interest in: machine learning, neural networks, information theory, statistics and probability, modelling and optimization.
