Description

Purpose. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing day-to-day operations with the end goal being to ensure new products, procured materials and finished goods are available as requested and customer service are consistently achieved. You will also be responsible for continued compliance and improvement of the Purchasing Departments Processes & Procedures to the ISO 13485:2016 Standard. Responsibilities. You’ll be ensuring that any Specification Changes are approved by suppliers on time. You’ll be gathering Data and compiling Supplier Reports. You will be participating in quarterly Supplier Review Meetings which may result in new supplier management. You’ll co-ordinate the Purchasing team’s Quality Requirements and liaise with the quality team on quality issues affecting purchasing. Creation & Management of Quality Incidents & Change Orders. You will contribute to and lead Projects that directly relate to the improvement of purchasing processes, work stream efficiencies and compliance. You will contribute to Cross-Functional project teams, ensuring relevant details are addressed and resolved and be directly responsible for improvement initiatives. Compile and report on project related KPI ’s. You may be asked to Undertake Special Projects as requested by the Purchasing Manager. Requirements. You’ll need 5+ Years’ Experience in the purchasing, or purchasing related field, and ideally a relevant purchasing qualification ( APICS/CIPS , degree) and previous experience with Supplier Management. Knowledge of MRP II computer systems is preferable and in particular SAP would be a significant advantage as it forms a major part of the supply chain. Experience of the use of such systems to communicate requirements to Vendors and manage global Inventories is highly desirable. A proven record of delivering exceptional Supply Chain Service. Strong Analytical Skills , excellent attention to detail and good business judgment. Effective Communicator , both articulate & verbally presentable. Excellent Interpersonal skills with an ability to achieve results through Influencing others and maintaining strong links with other departments. Self-starter , possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations with shifting priorities. Strong record of developing and Implementing Procedures. Positive Attitude , team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm. A proven record of working with Quality Teams and quality systems. Demonstrate an understanding of Projects Planning , tracking and implementation and working with cross-functional teams on successful project implementations.
