Job Purpose. As a Senior Analytical Chemist, you will be based in Galway , This is an opportunity to join an organisation in which you will play an integral role in the Global QC Team, you will report to the Global Quality Manager who is based in Galway, you will have the autonomy to influence and guide Laboratory staff in the other 5 sites globally (Asia & America. Your job will be to drive consistency of the laboratory test equipment and methods by standardising the Lab processes and systems. Duties of the Job. *Guide the Global Laboratory team- with specific focus on evaluating and improving the laboratory capability at each site, transferring knowledge through best practice sharing, conducting gap analyses through audits and escalating the visibility of key indicators and initiatives. *Drive a continuous improvement focus - on equipment, methods, processes and procedures. *Quality Lab site support - you will support the global sites by formalising the appropriate levels of maintenance & technical support in agreement with experts from R&D and Global Engineering. *Manage the integrity of lab data. *Delivery of Lab training. *Definition of reference equipment. *Enhance the Lab Data acquisition systems. *Validations for existing & new analytical equipment. *Laboratory analysis - You will be the Global Quality focal point who will agree with R&D, the Global Mix Lab and other functions to agree the most appropriate site to assist in the evaluation of raw materials, substrate and finished products as well as Competitor offerings. Requirements. * Bachelor degree, or higher, in a science discipline. * 6/7 years' experience in a high volume manufacturing facility with strong quality control and quality assurance experience. * Analytical chemistry background or experience in developing lab methods & standards. * Experience with chromatography instrumentation. * Experience of method development, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and capability analysis. * Strong presentation skills. * Experience with Lab Management systems(LMS. * Experience of ISO accreditation/FDA regulations for Lab systems. * Proficient in the use of JMP statistical software or alternate.
