Due to continued expansion, a start-up medical device company based in Galway is looking for a new R&D Project Manager to join the team. As the R&D Project Manager, you will be responsible for the design and commercialisation aspect of new products and driving cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities: Act as the internal liaison between Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, RA/QA and sales management. Schedule projects deadlines. Report on the progress of project timelines. Collaborate with key project sponsors in bringing together a full range of cross functional expertise and competencies. Ensure design control requirements are met. Ensure prototype products for testing, including the validation of performance and reliability test data, are complete. The requirements: Honours' degree in Engineering or equivalent. 7+ years experience within product development and engineering in the medical device industry. A high level of technical competence is required to formulate the appropriate development strategy and tactics for each project to uncover weakness in performance and reliability test data. Proven ability to manage projects involving resources in multiple locations. Diplomatic and tactful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
