Technical Sales Manager - Galway. The core objective of this role is to support the business in achieving its revenue goals and objectives through focused business planning and sales. Core Duties: • Prepares sales forecasts and participate in the identification of market potential, and strategically plan target clients as appropriate. • Monitor individual and company sales performance on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective action as required. • Build and develop key relationships with customers. • Integrate sales targets and target customer profiles into a broader sales plan. • Responsible for revenue and sales budgets. • Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring a plan to target new customers and develop business with existing customers. • Maintain knowledge of the industry, market and competition, continually building the industry, the market and competitive landscape via an in-depth creative analytic approach. • Visit customers and / or potential customers on a regular and planned basis to promote the company. • Ongoing technical training to support sales activity. • Analyse and report sales activity, the market and business feedback monthly, quarterly and yearly by using all available support tools. • Research/attend and/or visit local, national and international tradeshows, conferences etc. • Initiate or maintain work schedule and priorities. • Establishe and cultivate a wide range of business relationships to facilitate completion of assignments. • Participate in determining goals and objectives for the department. Interested applicants should have: • Bachelor’s Degree: Business/Engineering/Marketing (or other. • Minimum 5 years' sales experience in Medical Device/Pharmaceuticals/Biotech (preferably in a B2B environment. • Technical Sales experience in the Medical Device B2B Design and Contract Manufacturing space desirable. • Strong organisational, presentation, negotiation and selling skills. • Strategic thinking and decision making. • Relevant industry knowledge. • Full clean driving license. • Flexibility required for travel (local, national & international.
