The Road Safety Authority is a statutory body created by the Road Safety Authority Act 2006. It is. responsible for driver testing, licensing and training, vehicle standards and enforcement of certain Road Transport Regulations, road safety promotion, driver education and road safety research. The RSA is Ireland’s primary road safety organisation. Its mission is to reduce the number of deaths. and injuries on Irish roads and make them safer for all users. The Road Safety Authority is recruiting for Transport Officers (Ref: 16/19). These are permanent full time positions. These posts are initially headquartered in Loughrea, Co. Galway, but will include significant work out of the office and travelling throughout Ireland. The successful candidate will work be part of the RSA’s Enforcement team. He or she will take on responsibilities in areas such as roadside checks, premises inspections, investigations and working closely with internal and external stakeholders in meeting business objectives.
