The Governing Body of GMIT now invite applications for the role of President, to lead the Institute in its next stage of development. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven, visionary leader who is prepared to guide GMIT to greater regional, national and international prominence. The President is the Chief Officer and will provide dedicated and focussed leadership for the Institute at a time of significant change and development within the Irish Higher Education Sector. The President must understand the complex landscape of higher education both nationally and internationally with the capability to chart a clear path for the Institute to flourish and grow. Candidates are required to have demonstrable experience in successfully leading a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. The President will work to realise the Institute’s mission and continue to develop student success, academic excellence, innovative research and an entrepreneurial culture. This post will require excellent strategic, operational and financial leadership and management. Candidates must possess the communication and interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships across the Institute and its. stakeholders. The President will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to and leadership in fostering inclusive working, studying and research. environments across the Institute and its partners. The President of GMIT will be responsible for corporate governance, institutional leadership, as well as developing strategic opportunities and partnerships to ensure the Institute’s growth.
