HR Manager Galway. I am currently seeking a HR Manager to join my client who owns a 20,000sq ft store in Galway. This is one of the largest stores in the West of Ireland with a healthy turnover and employs up to 200 staff directly. Due to the volume and pace of this environment, we are seeking a HR Manager or a strong retailer with a qualification in HR who would love the opportunity of getting exposure in a busy HR department. If you relish a challenge and enjoy working in a busy environment and working with large teams this may be an ideal opportunity to showcase your skills and experience in HR. Day to day, you will assist the owners and Store Manager on best employment practices, developing and implementing HR strategies to maintain a good working atmosphere and handle any grievances, investigations or disciplinaries among the team, following correct procedures at all times. Salary neg DOE. Responsibilities for this HR Job: Day to day running of a busy HR department. Payroll management, answering any queries from the team. Maintaining the general admin of employee files, training records etc. Attend meetings with the management teams, taking minutes of the meeting and following up on anything relevant. Looking after all recruitment needs for the store, along with having a robust succession plan strategy in place. Managing the Health & Safety book, reporting and ensure all accident report is received, recorded and follow up in a timely manner. Duty Management on the floor, supporting other departments with operational duties. Requirements for this Human Resource job : Relevant qualification in HR/Business related discipline or equivalent. Minimum 3 years experience in a fast-paced retail environment, either as a senior manager with HR duties or a HR Manager looking to step up to a bigger environment. Effective time management skills and ability to work under pressure. Motivated self-starter that is adaptable and willing to learn. Excellent PC skills to include all aspects of Microsoft Office in particular Excel. Excellent communication & influencing skills. Due to the nature of retail, the successful candidate must be flexible to work weekends and evening shifts.
