SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - GALWAY. Global, Galway based tech business seeks a new senior financial accountant with strong data crunching skills to join the EMEA Accounting team. You will be responsible for contra revenue accounting, with a strong emphasis on the related analytics. This is an excellent role with career progression in the short term, a dynamic aspect with interaction to various stakeholders. You will be remunerated well with an excellent benefits package. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage monthly closing. Perform analysis during, and after, monthly close. Act as the key “go-to” person for IFRS 16 and related queries. Projects and Process Improvement. Drive local elements of project work, as part of wider global projects. Initiate / contribute to process improvements, across all areas of the finance function. Assist with other tasks as required, especially during month end close process. REQUIREMENTS. Newly qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA. Big4 / Top 10 Audit trained. Strong analytical and data crunching skills required. You need to be a pro-active person, team player with international mindset. You should demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail to perform in this role as well as ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Effective communication both written and oral is key. Strong knowledge of Excel, powerpoint and IFRS principles. Knowledge of Oracle is an advantageous.
