Production Foreman. CareerWise recruitment currently has an urgent vacancy for a Production foreman for our Galway based client. You will be joining a leading manufacturer and distributor of bespoke building products, who deals directly with construction and engineering contractors. You will oversee the day-to-day organisation of the production area. The Role: * You will be responsible for planning the daily order of works for production team of 7-8 people. * Manage and act as single point of contact for all ongoing jobs in production. * Propose improvements to the workflow of the production area to maximise output and minimise waste of time and cost. * Keep production team motivated, minimise time-wasting, manage annual leave requests. * You will be required to work on a production line for part of your day. * Gain a strong understanding of each machine and product and their various nuances. * Ensure health, safety and standards are kept at an optimal level across the production facility. * Train new employees. * Liaise with machinery maintenance providers, safety inspectors, other on-site contractors. Requirements: * Exceptional organiser and communicator. * Mathematical/mechanical skills essential for measurements, dimensions, angles. * Engineering mind with an interest in machinery. * Fast learner who retains information a strict requirement. * Good computer skills required - general system navigation, printing, emails, simple Excel. * Excellent prioritisation, problem-solving and time-management skills. * Knowledge of construction products/industry desirable.
