Sheet Metal Operator. CareerWise have an excellent opportunity available for a Sheet Metal Machince Opertaor based in Galway. If you are growing tired of the constant cold and wet Irish weather this is a great opportunity to put your skills to use in a factory based environment. The Role; * Working inside factory running, slitting, cutting and folding sheet metal. * Reading and interpreting drawings to calculate the correct material, cut sizes and sequence of manufacturing to achieve the required standard of finish. * Working with guillotine, metal folder, press brake (computer & manual), slitting line and rollformer. * Manual handling and lifting within workshop. * Working with production team elsewhere within workshop and warehouse as required. * Maintaining a high level of safety and working standards by following procedures and good housekeeping. Requirements; * Mechanical/Mathematical aptitude essential to read and understand measurements, angles and drawings. * You must be an eager and enthusiastic person, willing to learn and take responsibility for your work. * Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised. * High level of attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. * Problem solving abilities.
