Chief Financial Officer – Galway. Excellent and rare opportunity to step into a senior role and oversee all finance related systems and operational procedures in a large commercial group headquartered in the west of Ireland. Reporting to the Managing Director, the CFO will look after for the day-to-day financial function of the Company and manage the accounts/finance and IT departments. To be considered for this role, you must have at least 5 years’ experience operating in a similar senior position ideally within the FMCG industry. Key Responsibilities. Produce, review and monitor monthly management accounts, budgets and analysis, and come up with ways to enhance results. Implement and maintain systems to support effective financial management. Manage and develop the team. Support strategic and operational planning. Prepare financial reports for the weekly and monthly management meetings. Manage year end and month end processes. Supervision of invoicing process and other financial areas. Liaise with banks and external auditors promoting the best interest of the business. Monthly Balance Sheet review and reconciliations. Prepare annual budgets. Key requirements: A number of years’ experience in a similar role (as above.) Fully qualified chartered or certified accountant. A proven track record of success in previous finance related roles. Strong financial analytical skills. Business acumen with desire and ability to contribute to the overall management team. The ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation. Commercially focused, a willingness to push for better results, dedication to the job. Strong IT/Systems skills/experience.
