Financial Controller - Galway. Seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller with a background within the Hotels/Hospitality industry for an exciting senior role. Joining a leading Irish hotel group, you will be commercially-minded and able to lead and develop the Finance Function across a number of hotels. The successful applicant will receive an excellent salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities: Manage the operation of the day to day finance operations, both at Group and individual Hotel level. Preparing monthly management accounts for the Group. Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Financial Modelling. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance, ensuring strong controls in place, statutory and tax compliance. External Support and Involvement (Advisors, Banking relationships, Auditors) and Internal (Supporting Sales, Marketing, Operations. Key Requirements: Qualified Accountant with previous experience (approx. 3 years) in a Financial Controller role, preferably having previously looked after the finance function of a group of hotels. Commercially-focused, able to make recommendations to senior management and influence stakeholders. Ability to lead and manage teams. Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including regulators, legal advisors, outsourced partners and senior management within the Group. Experience preparing Board reports, analysing data, assisting in strategic decisions within a large organisation. Hands-on and passionate, will get the job done!
