CareerWise Recruitment have an urgent requirement for the following Quality Technician with a Medical Device company in Galway. ** Quality Technician - Night Shift (Mon - Thu: 12.am to 8.30am & Fri: 9.30pm to 5am. Both these positions are initial 6-month contract positions with the possibility of extension after the 6 months. Out client is eager to fill these roles so interview will be scheduled quickly. THE ROLE: * You will work closely with the Quality Engineering team and provide front line quality support to ensure all manufacturing process, materials and products are supported from a quality and compliance perspective. You will also be involved with leading improvement activities within these areas to ensure all systems and processes are efficient and effective. * MRB (Materials Review Board) system and material control. * Incoming Inspection and final QA system process, processing supplier receipts and inspection completion post Packaging Configurations. * You will be involved with supporting Manufacturing process changes and improvements including Quality Inspections at different points in the process. * You will process Quality control to ensure all product meets its requirements prior to shipment. * You will be involved with corrective action activities related to manufacturing processes and systems and the NC/CAPA system. * You will be involved with identifying any potential trends during failure analysis and initiating improvement initiatives. * You will be involved with trending and reporting on the Key Quality and Performance Objectives for manufacturing quality. * At all times, you will maintain compliance with ISO and FDA Quality System regulations. * This role will also support external audits, internal audits and any relevant Quality/Regulatory compliance related activities as deemed necessary. REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of a certificate in a Quality/Science or related discipline. * 2+ years practical and relevant experience working in a Medical Device Operations environment. * A "self starter" in terms of time and task management and operate with minimal supervision. * Good communicator both verbally and in writing with ability to influence. * Good understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA QSR quality standards.
