Our client is a leading energy-efficient technology manufacturer that is passionate about creating environmentally-conscious products without compromising high performance. They are seeking a skilled Mobile Developer to join their team in Galway. What are the responsibilities: Working as part of a team to develop applications ('apps') for Android devices and launch them in the Play Store. Improving architecture and contributing to architectural review. Identifying and fixing deficiencies/errors that present as bugs. Engaging actively in the app's lifecycle in order to continuously improve/enhance tools. Writing high-quality (i.e. clean, well-tested) code. Designing, implementing and managing automated unit and acceptance tests. Meeting deadlines and communicating obstacles encountered in the process. Actively participating in the code review process. What skills/qualifications are desired: Strong experience building real-time native Android applications. Experience launching and updating apps in Play Store. Proficient in Android development languages and programmes. Detailed knowledge of Android platform, such as different device capabilities, battery life, and performance etc. Excellent self-motivation, communication and collaboration skills. Keen interest in creating libraries for other developers (and ensuring quality of work with test automation. A genuine, demonstrable passion for app and software development and for technology.
