To Join Our Highways & Transportation Division Supervising Contracts In The. Galway Area. The Position Will Primarily Be Focusing On Earthworks / Drainage Projects. As A Member Of The Supervision Team You Will Be Responsible For The Delivery Of. Highways & Transport Related Projects Within Multidisciplinary. Environments.     The Candidate. Will Ideally Have:  • Level 8 Degree In Civil Engineering, Or Equivalent. Professional Qualification As Recognised By Engineers’ Ireland  • A Minimum Of 5 Years’ Experience In The Supervision Of. Large Civil Engineering Projects  • Experience In The Supervision Of Structures Or The Supervision. Of Roads  • Working Knowledge Of Typical Contract Forms  • Good Knowledge And Awareness Of Health & Safety. Legislation And Regulations  • Team Player With Excellent Communication Skills (Both. Written And Verbal), Team Working Skills And Analytical Skills  • Ability To Devise New Approaches To Problems. Encountered  • Excellent It Skills, Familiar With Relevant Computer. Applications (Ms Word And Ms Excel In Particular, Ms Project Desirable) And. Simulation Software     The Role  You Will Be:  • Responsible For The Supervision And Associated. Contract Administration Of Construction/survey Works   • Responsible For Carrying Out Orders And Instructions. From The Employer’S Representative And Main Supervisor Along With Such Other. Duties As May Be Assigned By The Client  • Assisting The Main Supervisor In Contractual, Measurement And Technical Matters  • Liaising With The Contractors, Local Authorities And. Other Stakeholders   • Monitoring Project Compliance With Relevant Safety, Statutory, Environmental And Waste Management Obligations  • Monitoring Quality, Progress And Report On Works Being. Carried Out To The Employer’S Requirements And Ensure That The Employer’S. Representative And Client Are Fully Informed Of All Issues Arising On Site  • Monitoring The Contractor For Compliance With The. Safety Health & Welfare At Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 And In. Doing So Utilise Any Associated Client Related Instructions Or Processes  • Reviewing Of Method Statements And Assessment Of. Contractor’S Engineering Proposals  • Contributing To Project Team Performance By. Communicating Essential Information, Coordinating Actions, Reviewing Open. Issues/action Items, Sharing Information In Team Meetings While Focused On. Project Completion Within Timelines  • Enhancing Company Reputation By Taking Ownership Over.
