The National Shared Services Office (NSSO) is leading the transformation of HR, payroll and pension administration, and financial management in the Irish Public Service.   Shared Services implementation is a central element of the Government’s Public Service Reform Plan. Over the next 3 years some of the finance functions, currently carried out within the 48 Public Service Bodies (PSBs), will move in waves to the Finance Shared Service (FSS). The FSS will lead and manage all critical finance activities including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and asset maintenance, general ledger, financial reporting and analysis, financial systems, cash management, tax, and internal audit.   Based in Galway or Tullamore, the Senior Manager FMSS Programme will work to support the delivery of the Financial Management Shared Services Platform and the establishment of the Financial Shared Services Operations and the associated responsibilities therein. They will oversee the Financial Management Programme function and contribute to the development of the overall FSS.   The successful candidate will have a career record that demonstrates senior level leadership and management skills including leadership experience in programme management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation project experience in overseeing delivery of large scale IT/change based programmes.
