The Regulatory Support Officer will work with the Inspectors, Regional Manager and Deputy Chief Inspector / Head of Programme to support the regulation of designated centres on a regional and national level as required. The Regulatory Support Officer is authorised in accordance with the Health Act 2007 as amended, to participate in specific aspects of the regulation of older person’s services, centres for adults and children with disabilities, healthcare or children services. The Regulatory Support Officer will support the teams in: • Researching, analysing and collating data and information to ensure that an effective, informed and proportionate regulatory approach is taken. • Achieving defined business plan objectives in addition to gathering and presenting information which demonstrates compliance with these objectives. • Carrying out specific regulatory functions in line with their authorisation and scheme of determination. . • Participating in and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the team and organisation.   There is currently one permanent vacancy for immediate appointment in the Galway office, one permanent vacancy for immediate appointment in the Dublin office and one fixed-term vacancy for 12 months for immediate appointment in the Dublin office. Additionally, HIQA intends to create a national panel for anticipated vacancies that may arise in the following locations: Dublin office, Cork office or Galway office.
