Description

S enior Line Quality Engineer. In this key role within this multinational company you will own & have accountability & responsibility for the mgt. of all Quality(Qlty) & mgt. of Line engineering; implementing a robust preventative Quality program. The aim is to ensure & assure value mistake proofing product build & validation all critical processes at source. You will manage Qlty product & process issues; identification of root cause, corrective action, & implementation of identified solution with control plans. As a key member of the Value Stream team you'll work with Sales, training, NPI, Design, Manuf. SQE & Customer facing Qlty team. Responsible for setting & achieving all the related KPIs so products meet design & metrics. Management of : Quality Line Eng. & across value streams identify all potential Product/Process issues, through DFMEA, PFMEA. Validation - focus on early identification & response. Qlty metrics, setting CI goals & reporting status such as Daily Gemba, Mission Control, MDI, PDE. feedback at various stages of the process, to suppliers, design team, Q teams, & ops team when required. warranty claims to resolve Customer issues promptly. Analyse production data, product & process steps, problem break-down & analysis. Record & Report daily issues during the daily Gemba walks. Maintain accurate records of all actions taken, Corrective Action, Eng & process changes to ensure accurate data & traceability per Serial Number is maintained. Customer facing activity - ensure that all Prod/Process meet required criteria & stds, ISO stds. customer audits. Conduct & oversee Weekly Product audit & special process audits by value stream. Identify Value added tech based improvement projects for line Qlty & PDE etc. Introduce Lean to value stream QE functions. Strong eng & tech knowledge, on product & systems such as ProE, Windchill, to make timely & accurate decisions & meet customer expectations. Qualifications & Exp.: Degree in Eng. & min. 5 years engineering exp. in Qlty, Manuf. or Design Eng. Strong Technical product & Process knowledge, in Quality Planning, NPI; data & root cause; corrective action; QA Techniques & practices. Know about IT & automation & related Line projects. Lead & Mentor team & assign & oversee project work as required. Can focus on Prod/Process validation, use PFMEA to identify robust Control Plans. Identifies assembly vulnerabilities, critical implications, minimise risk of line stoppages. Organised; can work on multiple priorities simultaneously. Strive for CI; can stretch objectives & empower team. Enthusiastic , sense of urgency; understand potential issues that can impact int/external customers. Influential at all levels.
