A Site Sourcing Lead is required by Careerwise recruitment to work with our Galway based Medical Device manufacturing client. THE ROLE: * Ensures that all activities are in compliance with company policies and practices. * Develop and support supply chain strategies to combine flexible, high levels of customer service at optimum cost. * Influencing customers and suppliers to create integrated supply chain solutions. * Management of departmental budget. * Maintain procurement files ensuring high standards of master data accuracy. * Ensure Supplier compliance in meeting company standards. * Timely processing and evaluating of invoice queries and taking appropriate action to resolve them. * Liaise with European/Global procurement team establishing understanding of cross functional commodity requirements, analysing costs, logistics, quality and user needs to prepare recommendations for centralized procurement of commodity. Manage resource to ensure support of above. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree (Business, Finance, Engineering or related fields) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 5 + years of working experience in Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Procurement / Sourcing. * Ability to perform objectives / projects on time, working within team environment and autonomously when need arises to deliver results for the business. * Understands legal aspects of purchasing, including contract law, with some international experience. * Understands all standard purchasing practices and techniques (market knowledge, data analysis, cost management, negotiations, contract formation, etc.) through extensive experience. * Demonstrates ability to provide clear direction and priorities throughout team.
