SYSTEM TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER - COUNTY GALWAY. Job Overview: As System Technical Project Manager (TPM) you will be accountable for the deliverables of system sub-projects in time, quality and cost. The System TPM is empowered by the R&D Manager to manage his/her contributors. To effectively communicate with the project team on all requirements & facilitate resolution of all project related issues. To communicate with management efficiently and effectively on all issues requiring escalation. Key Responsibilities: Main technical reference of the project. Propose to (and align with) the Software PTM, the Mechatronic PM and the System Test & Validation PTM, and all associated projects the technical scenario leading to the system deliverables of the project to the customer. Summarise this technical scenario in the system project planning (shows at least system deliverables  and synchronisation deliverables between sub-projects) and in the system delivery plan (agreed content of planned deliverables). Present to the System PM the technical scenario needed changes and gets his/her approval in project weekly meetings organized by System PM. In charge of the product robust design, in line with the economic targets, to meet customer requirements (technical requirements as well as product integrity requirements), applicable norms & regulations requirements and lessons learned. Lead the R&D-related risk management activities on the project. Review periodically with the SW PM, Mechatronic PM and System Test and Validation PM the status of their risk management, and enrich it if necessary, by additional risk management actions at the project level impacting the overall technical scenario. Represent the R&D function at the customer, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs. Report and escalate to your System Project Manager and R&D Manager as needed. Accountable for the system sub-project deliverables. Apply the Project Development Plan following CPM (CLEAN Project Management), and make sure necessary technical reviews and design reviews are performed. Prepare the System sub-project deliverable status for milestone readiness reviews. Establish detailed break down of the activities to meet the milestones. Assign activities to your team members and track their progress and spending versus the allowed budget. Provide the following regular reporting : Spec/Req analyses & delivery according to plan. Sub-Project System cost spending & forecast vs Budget. Identify and plan work packages needed to deliver the deliverables of system sub-project. Management of the contributors: Daily management of all System team sub-project contributors. Assign to them the work packages needed. Regularly review with your R&D manager or Product Manager and the Department Managers to check alignment between needs and availabilities. Interested applicants should have: An Engineering Degree in a relevant area e.g. Electronics. At least 10 years' experience in automotive industry. At least 3 years' experience in technical Project/Product Management role. Experience in R&D development activities in automotive sector. Demonstrated project delivery.
